Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations
Most people who sustain a concussion or other type of traumatic brain injury typically recover within three months of symptom onset. But some do not.
We provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assess the magnitude of damages sustained during an accident and to quantify the resulting loss in quality of life.
Our reports typically include extensive references to established scientific evidence upon which our clinical conclusions are based; consistent with the Daubert standard.
We conduct rigorous testing for patients who may have sustained a traumatic brain injury and provide objective, evidence-based reports for attorney reference in corresponding court trials.
While many psychologists and neuropsychologists only test for a basic numerical loss in relation to the average, our tests go beyond to include a relative loss analysis of the patient.
Accounting not only for a person’s standard cognitive performance, but their neuropsychological well-being, level of independence, and quality of life, our dynamic evaluation process addresses the three essential areas of neuropsychological loss.
How it Works
Step 1: Onboarding
You’ll meet our patient care coordinator, who will send you materials to fill out electronically. We will then schedule you to meet with one of our Neuropsychologists for a comprehensive initial interview.
Step 2: Initial Interview
We’ll ask questions to help identify the symptoms you’re experiencing. This interview provides context about how your work, relationships, hobbies, and daily activities have been affected by your condition–context that helps to inform our personalized treatment plan.
This initial interview is conducted remotely thru a secure telemedicine portal, lasts approximately three hours and includes a period during which the doctor will explain in detail your brain condition and recommendations for improvement.
Step 3: Testing and Evaluation
You’ll complete a series of paper and computer tests to evaluate cognitive functions such as memory, concentration, processing speed, verbal and spatial abilities, high-level reasoning, and problem solving.
Step 4: Feedback Session
Our Doctor will meet with you to discuss our analysis and recommendations. Together, we’ll build a treatment plan for you.
Step 5: Treatment
Based on our evaluation, we will refer you to specialists—in or beyond our clinic—who will administer your treatment plan, which may involve any combination of physical, psychological, and occupational therapies or medications.
Step 6: Follow-Up
After a few months of treatment, we’ll meet again to discuss what seems to be working and what could be modified. We’ll adjust your plan and continue the process as long as necessary until you feel you’re at a point of maximum recovery.
